The Tshwane Green Route runs from the mountainous Haartebeespoort to the Tswaing Meteorite Crater. The route uses the Molefe Makinta Road (M21) that cuts across 6 townships and villages which include an agricultural settlement of the Batswana Tribe. Notable people along the route include Patrice Motsepe’s childhood home and family mine in Makau and Dr Sam Motsuenyane’s rural development and agricultural projects in Winterveldt. The route’s main themes are eco-tourism, health and wellness, heritage and culture, geo-tourism and adventure tourism.
