I started the Guest House out of adversity, we sacrificed our rooms for guests and stayed in the garage with our 2 teenage kids. We made it, they have both graduated and the guest house has now grown. Looking at women getting discouraged, and giving up their goals and dreams due to prevailing global adversity
I decided to plow back into my community. We have formed a Women Enrichment Platform to develop women and youth facing adversity so that they are able to sustain themselves and their families. , and become independent. This has the potential of creating jobs, restoring women’s dignity, reducing poverty and women’s dependence on government grants as well as boosting tourism recovery. We are doing plastic recycling and making use of unemployed graduates in training women sewing.
